We finished the rahab of the Twitchell Canyon fire on December 28. It seemed awfully good to have it completed. It feels even better to not have to be out in the cold every day trying to get er done.
Since it was finished Inklings and I took a short road trip north. We saw our new grand daughter for a few hours, and had lunch with another daughter. It was a great trip and I am sooooo happy we took it.
Some say the world will end with fire.
Others say with ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those that favor fire.
But if I had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate,
To say that for destruction ice,
Is also great and would suffice.

That's the great thing about being retired - you can go when you want for how long you want! :0)
You left me pondering over whether or not it is better to be retired or retreaded. It is late and my brain is fuzzy.
I was pretty tickled that they asked me to do this job. However it tied me down completely for two months, of which I worked 36 days. So I was tied down for all that time not able to go anywhere depending on what happened with the contract and got paid for just barely over half of the days.
I assure you it is better to be retired than retreaded even though I am happy that I did this job.
