This afternoon I will go to the Fire Center and take the updated training for Fire Business Management. I will have one more required training before I can go out after May 28th. These trainings will allow me to participate on fires if I want to and they need me. Without the training I can't go so guess I will take it. I am not sure that I am going to go out but I want to at least keep the option open in case I decide to go.
For sure fire is the part of my job that I miss the most---I got a call from an adjoining district last week with an invitation to help burn 2000 acres---can't do that anymore due to physical limitations but it was nice to get the call---I told him if he needed help with moving stuff I could do that. It is fun to get these calls from people you hired and trained that still want you around.
Some say the world will end with fire.
Others say with ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those that favor fire.
But if I had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate,
To say that for destruction ice,
Is also great and would suffice.
