Some say the world will end with fire.

Others say with ice.

From what I've tasted of desire

I hold with those that favor fire.

But if I had to perish twice,

I think I know enough of hate,

To say that for destruction ice,

Is also great and would suffice.

What the Heck

I have been seriously debating the value of blogging---I guess I have to admit that it is pretty cool to be able to see what everyone else is blogging about even though I am pretty poor about putting stuff on line myself. I have had a lot of questions regarding why anyone would put all that stuff out there for the world to read and can't seem to get past that part of it. I guess I just come from another time and place.

I don't spend a lot of time on doing the blog stuff each day but it is nice to be able to take a few minutes and see what everyone else has been up to. But like everything else I don't have a real exciting life---except when I am having a real exciting life---at which times I don't have time to even get through my job let alone blog something. So I wonder why do it at all.

You can always privatize your blog and only invite people you want to read your blogs.

And hardly anyone, except people you know, reads your blog anyway...I am lucky to get 10 hits a week...

A blogger that I read posted a post about why we blog. He questioned the value of it, and if some people are just addicted to it. I have to say that I don't think anyone in our family is addicted. I think for me, the best thing is that it gives us one more way to keep in touch as a family. :)

I agree...it is nice to hear things about relatives/friends that don't come up in telephone calls or visits...
